Beijing at Night

Upon return to Beijing, Ryan and I saw a Christmas store, and since we always buy ornaments from the place we visit, we got off the bus. We discovered the store had nothing to do with Christmas; it was just a shopping center that sold all kinds of stuff, from toys to cellphones.

Along the way, we found a small bakery called “Smile”, that smelled like heaven. We bought some egg tarts, and twisted pastries…yummy.

It was already dark, and the city started to get illuminated. We walked for hours before we got back to the hostel, but we enjoyed the most beautiful views of the city at night. We walked by the Forbidden City, its surrounding wall and moat.

We ended up walking for hours and arrived at the hostel exhausted around 11pm, but it was all worth it.
